I hope everybody is enjoying the summer so far - the weather around here has been rather agreeable, though we have had more than our regular share of rain.  Better than snow, though, so I'll take it!

Unfortunately I'm making this post because we have run into some shortages with our supply of fittings for projector screen kits.  Though we have many fittings in stock, one crucial part to the kit has run dry at our supplier, and we will be waiting until mid-July to be resupplied. This means that we won't be able to create full kits to ship out until then.

I have been somewhat torn on how to solve this problem. There are, of course, several manufacturers of these fittings and I could easily get some substitute parts in here to take care of the shortage, but having seen and used them in the past, I have not at all been impressed with the quality of these alternatives.  They are a lighter duty, cheaper (in the bad way) version of the regular fittings we carry, and I could never be comfortable substituting them for our normal parts.

That said, I know that some situations come up where someone might need to put together a screen frame on short notice and won't be able to wait until we are resupplied. In those cases I will be willing to obtain some substitutes to take care of the shortage and get a screen built, but not without communicating the feelings on the replacements mentioned above.

My apologies to those who are inconvenienced by this, but I have already done what I could to get every piece in stock that I could find.  Now we just have to play the waiting game.
