Sample Testing Tips:

  • Setup the projector in the lighting environment in which it will be used the majority of the time
    • Dark like a movie theater or in ambient light
    • The darker you can get the environment the better the results
    • Unfortunately, none of our materials are meant for full sunlight
  • Setup the projector in the location in which it will be used the majority of the time
    • Ceiling mount, projector stand, table, etc.
  • Ask a helper to move the samples around each image on the wall while you observe
  • Sit in the area(s) where the audience is likely to sit the majority of the time
    • Move around. Sit in front and off to each side of the room
  • Project the type of content which will be viewed the majority of the time
    • Movies, sports, video games, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
  • Once you narrow it down try projecting:
    • Dark/high contrast images (think Batman Movie) onto each sample
    • Bright/colorful images (think Cartoons) onto each sample
    • Skin tones onto each sample
