Sanderson D. | Leaburg, OR | Ambient Light Rejecting (ALR)

I have an older Epson 2030 with 4200 hours on the current bulb and I have always used a cheap white screen with a gain of 1.0 and it works fine but the black levels suck. To increase the contrast and fix a light scattering problem I wanted to try an ALR screen. After I setup Carl's screen I was surprised. The brightness is uniform across the screen and it does a good job with the light scattering. It's brighter than my old screens and now I can see details in dark scenes that I couldn't before. Here are some phone pictures to show ALR's capability. The photos go from no light to as bright as I can make it in the room. For the price I am very happy with it. Now I just need to save up for a real projector!
