SkyTrak LLC, one of the most popular and budget friendly golf simulator brands, has announced a brand new launch monitor. Using the original SkyTrak launch monitor as the foundation, the new SkyTrak+ adds even more features that will help you enjoy playing golf and improve your game at home. 

Similar to the OG SkyTrak, the SkyTrak+ is great for tighter spaces as the unit sits within a couple feet of the hitting area. However, possibly the most important new feature is the doppler radar system. Pairing the radar system with SkyTrak’s improved photometric technology, the SkyTrak+ will now provide the following ball AND club data:

With the enhanced camera system, golfers can now access precise and dependable ball tracking data, which can help enhance their practice sessions and overall performance. This camera system also guarantees an improved experience outdoors, even on mats, so players can improve their skills at the range with ease.

Reviewing SkyTrak+’s other new features:

• Larger Hitting Area: The laser dot is still part of the setup, but mostly just to help you understand the general area you need to place the ball as the hitting area is around 40% larger.
• Onboard Processor: Provides a much shorter wait time between ball strike and simulation. No more waiting a couple seconds to see your shot on your impact screen. The onboard processor also helps with easy and secure connectivity to many PC and mobile devices.
• Revamped Shot Optimizer: Take a look and examine all of your club and ball data compared to ideal launch conditions. The scoring system in red, yellow, and green lets you know how your numbers measure up to the world's top players.
• Tutorials: Within the new interface, find informational tutorials from Nick Clearwater, Golf Digest’s #22 teacher in the world. These tutorials are designed to help you understand the Shot Optimizer interface and its significance in improving your game.
• Shot Scoring: After hitting 20 shots with any club, SkyTrak+ will use its advanced technology to calculate your optimally hit shots. These shots will then be used as a reference point to measure your future shots against. Based on this data, you will receive a shot score that objectively measures your performance against other players of different skill levels. This score will give you an idea of what to expect during an 18-hole round.
• Now 5Ghz Wi-Fi capable, resulting in quicker and more reliable connections.
  Use USB C charging stable ports and faster charging.
  No special balls or club stickers needed.

Note that third-party software licenses for SkyTrak+ need to be purchased directly from SkyTrak.

According to SkyTrak, the minimum system requirements to run the SkyTrak app include:

iOS: iPad Air or newer, iPad Mini 2 (with Retina Display) or newer, iPad Pro, or iPhone 6 or newer.

Android: Android versions 11 or newer or devices that have an Octa-Core processor.

PC: Windows 7 / 8.1 / 10, Intel Core 2 Due @ 2.0GHz or higher, 2GB RAM or better.
